Banca IFIS’ NPL Meeting is one of the most important events at the national and international level, focusing on debt restructuring and on the non-performing loan market. Now in its 7th edition, this year the event will span the course of two days, on September 27th and 28th, 2018, under the roof of an exquisite location like the Palazzo del Cinema at the Lido of Venice, the celebrated annual Venue for the renowned Venice Film Festival.

September 27th
Starting 2:00 pm networking workshop, Hotel Excelsior Venezia Lido
The workshops are small group discussions organized by participants registered for the two days. These are not business presentations but rather: sharing and discussion opportunities on issues related to NPLs.

September 28th
NPL Meeting : The conference will start at 9:00am at the Palazzo del Cinema and end with lunch. During the conference, there will be some round tables that will address different issues related to the world of distressed loans; here some featured topics: “The restructuring of banks and newcomers“, “Industrial and financial funds: what’s next?”, “A Presentation by ECB on NPLs guidelines and addendum “And” Credit players: business model evolution king NPE collection “. Among the confirmed featured speakers on September 28th, we’ll hear Roberto Nicastro, Advisor Europa for Cerberus, Professor Luigi Zingales of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Fabrizio Viola, Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group and Margarita Delgado, Deputy Director General of Microprudential Supervision at the European Central Bank
Guests will have the opportunity to reach the Lido of Venice as early as September 27th , to attend the workshops and to avoid losing part of the conference the following day. From Marco Polo Airport, from the Santa Lucia railway station and from the Tronchetto parking lot, some boats will depart that will take guests to Lido Island (navigation time: about 40 minutes). The “networking workshops” are a fresh new component of the NPL Meeting 2018: all participants are given a valuable opportunity to have a moment (30 minutes) in which to discuss and present current issues and ideas on point with the event. Indeed, these NPL discussions will be a great opportunity for all participants to discuss, share and to stay informed on latest developments. To apply for a workshop, write to info@nplmeeting.it
We recommend that guests wishing to participate in the workshops on September 27, arrive at the Venice Lido at around 1:30pm. Further information will be available a few weeks before the event and will be emailed to all registered participants.
Every year authorities, market players and leaders in the NPL sector meet at the NPL Meeting to address the most pressing current issues and discuss them with the participants. In addition to these important speakers the meeting will feature renowned authorities of the NPL world, of portfolio management (sale and acquisition), decision-makers and emerging figures from the financial arena.
This year’s macroeconomic introduction and overview will be presented by Professor Luigi Zingales , joining us from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
